Hello Elks! I would like to start off by WELCOMING our NEW MEMBERS!! I am looking forward to seeing you all at the Lodge. I am extremely excited about this year and all the fresh ideas and enthusiasm our new officers will instill in the Lodge. Thank you for accepting your positions, and I believe we will all work great TOGETHER!
All of the departing officers deserve a huge THANK YOU from all of our members for the awesome work they have done and the commitment they made! I personally want to “thank you”, and I am looking forward to your continued support and advice.
On another note, we have provided 54 Welcome Home Kits for veterans since we have been involved with this amazing program. A “high-five” to all for the work we have done to make this a success.
We have several events, including a variety of entertainment, planned for this year so keep an eye on the newsletter and your emails. The “Light-Up” board on the far wall by the bar will continue to list all monthly events as well as important dates at a glance.
I am looking forward to a great year and hope all our members are as well!
-Greg Prohaska
REINSTATEMENTS
If you know anyone who has been dropped from the roles for non-payment of dues and would
like to return to the Lodge, our by-laws permit us to waive the re-instatement fee for the months
of January and February. Please let them know – we would love to see them back!
2024-25 DUES
Dues notices will be going out at the end of February. I just wanted to give you a heads-up that
our dues will be increasing for the next Lodge year due to assessments from the organization
that are outside of the Tarentum Lodge Control. The dues for the 2024-25 Lodge year will be
$59 for regular members and $39 for life members. It is still an honor to belong to such an
amazing organization!
LIFE MEMBERSHIP
If you have been a member of our Lodge for 30 consecutive years then you are eligible for life
membership. If this is you, please let the Lodge know by email to
elks644@elks644.comcastbize.net and we will address this for you.

The Elks National Drug Awareness Program strives to teach all children and parents about the dangers of illegal drug use and prevent the abuse of legalized and prescription drugs. As the largest volunteer drug awareness program in the United States, the program relies on state, district and Lodge volunteers to promote a drug-free lifestyle. By taking pride in America’s communities and youth, the program takes action against youth drug use through education and inspiration.
Please encourage your school aged children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc. to participate.
Also, keep in mind that this is open to the public and you do not need to be a child of member to participate.
